This blog is dedicated to my native city of Dunedin, FL. It was here that I was born, raised, educated, and reside. I have a fondness about this city and I set up this site to share some of the wonderful and exciting features that this town has to offer. Dunedin is located in the Tampa Bay Metro area, north of the city of Clearwater. It home ports on the St. Joseph Sound with access to the Gulf of Mexico.
A little history about Dunedin; It is the sister city to Stirling Scotland (which is acknowledged by the occasional sound of bagpipes throughout the city) and was founded in 1899. Also it is home to Caladesi Island which was voted the number 1 beach by Dr. Beach in 2008. the Dunedin Country Club was PGA headquarters for roughly 20 years up until 1962. It still continues to be one of the best country clubs in Pinellas County and recently had a greens renovation. If you want to catch a baseball game the Toronto Blue Jays spring train here and the Dunedin Blue Jays call it home. All in all Dunedin has maintained the charm of a small country town with the amenities of a large city.
